Instructor's Update
During Alice’s adventures, she came across a character called the Mock Turtle, who spun her a tale of his youth
“When we were little, “ the Mock Turtle explained,
“we went to school in the sea. The master was an old Turtle – we used to call him Tortoise”
“Why did you call him a Tortoise, if he wasn’t one?” Alice asked
The Mock Turtle wisely replied,
“We called him Tortoise because he taught us”
All Approved Instructors (hospital-based, college course instructors and independent instructors) are required to attend one (1) Instructor’s Update along with the main conference every two (2) years. The San Diego Update will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 on-site at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center (host hotel) from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. Registration cost is $20 and payment must be received prior to April 1, 2010. Cost of the Instructor’s Update will include dinner, sponsored by 3M Health Care.
Registration cost is $20 and payment must be received prior to April 1, 2010. Any Approved Instructor who is scheduled to attend the San Diego Update must submit their payment prior to this April 1, 2010 deadline or Approved Instructor status will be removed from your account.
No registrations/payments for the Instructor’s Update will be processed or accepted after April 1, 2010. You must be registered for the San Diego conference in addition to the Instructor’s Update (no registrations for the Update will be processed if a full conference registration has not been received).
Register before October 31st for the Annual Meeting and receive Early Bird discounts ($350 for the Annual Meeting plus $20 for the Instructor’s Update).
Who should attend:
The Instructor’s Update is available only for IAHCSMM Approved Instructors. To verify if you are currently an IAHCSMM Approved Instructor, sign-in to the Member Portal of www.iahcsmm.org, and a drop down screen will show the Instructor’s Only area for IAHCSMM Approved Instructors (if the Instructor’s Only area does not show within the Member Portal under your name and ID number, please contact mailbox@iahcsmm.org if you have questions about your instructor status)
If you became an IAHCSMM Approved Instructor after April 2008, you must attend either the San Diego Update and Annual Meeting or the Louisville Update and Annual Meeting
If you became an IAHCSM Approved Instructor prior to April 2008, you must have attended the Orlando Update and Annual Meeting or you must attend the San Diego Update and Annual Meeting
If you attended the Orlando Update, you are not required to attend the San Diego Update, though it is recommended (instructors who attended the Orlando Update but do not attend the San Diego Update will be required to be in attendance at the Louisville Update
