Executive Board

IAHCSMM’s Executive Board is composed of six members – President, President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, two Directors selected annually from different geographical locations by the Board of Directors, and the Executive Director of the Association.

A majority of the voting active and associate members of the Association elects the President-Elect who serves for one term of two years. Upon completion of this term, the President-Elect assumes the office of the President at the close of the annual meeting for one term of two years. Upon completion of these four years, the President becomes known as the Immediate Past President.

A majority of the voting active and associate members elects the Secretary/Treasurer to serve for a term of two years. The Secretary/Treasurer cannot serve more than two consecutive terms in office.

The President-Elect is elected in each odd-numbered year, and the Secretary/Treasurer is elected in each even-numbered year.

The two Directors selected by the Board of Directors are elected at the Annual Meeting of the Association to serve one term of one year on the Executive Board.

The Executive Director is the Administrator of the Association and is appointed by the Board of Directors.

The Executive Board has all the powers of the Board of Directors to transact business between Annual Meetings of the Association. Each member of this board has one vote on matters put before it for a decision. The Executive Director has no voting power. Transactions of the Board of Directors are transmitted to Chapter Representatives usually in the form of minutes and are reported at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors.
