Jean Sargent Joins
Supply Chain ‘Hall of Fame’ Board of Directors
The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management would like to congratulate Jean Sargent, CRCST, FCS, ACE, supply chain director for Los Angeles-based USC Health Sciences, on being elected to the board of directors of Bellwether League Inc., the supply chain “hall of fame.”
Sargent’s experience and prominence in the field make her a deserving honoree. She has spent more than three decades in the field of central service/sterile processing and distribution and supply chain management, and is a past president of the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM). She has also played an active role within IAHCSMM and is currently working to advance excellence and improve patient care and safety through the healthcare supply chain via her involvement with Strategic Marketplace Initiative — a consortium of healthcare business executives united to reengineer supply chain operations. She is also actively involved with the GS1 Healthcare US initiative, a group striving to accelerate the adoption and implementation of uniform standards and practices by all trading partners across the supply chain to reduce efficiencies, errors and costs, and improve patient safety.
Sargent said she is honored to be elected to Bellwether League’s board of directors and is “looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate with such a prestigious group of individuals committed to recognizing those who have led the way in the healthcare supply chain.”
